AHCC C&T Department Partners With Heritage Hotels
Recently, The Convention & Tourism Department at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce headed to Puebla, Mexico with a large booth for the Puebla, Mexico Fair. Visited by 1.6 million people, it is the third largest fair in Mexico. The booth will be up from April 12 – May 12, 2019, and represents a partnership between the AHCC C&T Department, Heritage Hotels & Resorts (HH), and the New Mexico Trade Alliance (NMTA).

Yuriria Morales, international Markets and Tourism Director for the AHCC’s C&T Department and Belia Alvarez, Corporate Director of Community Relations at HH attended the inaugural ceremony on April 12th and spent time promoting Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico as a tourism destination. Albuquerque was selected to be featured at the Fair through a connection with Puebla, the ITA, and the AHCC.
“That Albuquerque was selected as a signature destination for this international showcase presents a tremendous opportunity for us to reinforce our commitment to a culture whose legacy has strongly influenced our brand.
We feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to align with other valued New Mexico partners in promoting our state’s attractions to this emerging market.”
Adrian Perez, President of Heritage Hotels & Resorts
In addition to tourism, the New Mexico Trade Alliance will be representing the City of Albuquerque to meet with Puebla government officials and industry associations to discuss trade and economic development opportunities.
“We are grateful to partner with Heritage Hotels and the New Mexico Trade Alliance to promote our beautiful city and state as an attraction to the Mexican tourist. Studies have shown that the Mexican visitor spends more than domestic visitors. International markets account for 1.9% of visitors, but 10% of total visitor spending”
