Lavender in the Village
Lavender production may not be something you associate with Albuquerque, but it will be once you visit the North Valley’s Los Poblanos Lavender Farm. The mission of the farm, which grows organic lavender, is to balance rich agricultural history with environmental concerns, such as water conservation and soil structure. The lavender begins to bloom in mid-June, and the Lavender in the Village Festival takes place on July 19th – 21st this year.

For more than 13 years, the festival has been one of the premier agri-nature events in New Mexico, attracting more than 7,000 attendees every year. It focuses on agriculture, community, and family, with various activities throughout the day: booths for fine arts, crafts, lavender, and antiques; kid farm camps; yoga classes; live music; and local food and culinary treats that are complemented with beer, wine, and spirits.
