Gathering of Nations

Scheduled for April 25 through April 27, 2019, the Gathering of Nations is the largest powwow of Native Americans in North America. The Gathering of Nations features dancers and singers from more than 700 Native American and First Nations Canadian tribes. This event, held annually during the fourth weekend in April, represents an opportunity to learn more about Native American and First Nations customs.

Festival Flamenco Internacional

A New Mexico tradition for the past 30 years, Festival Flamenco Internacional is a celebration of percussive flamenco dance. For 2019, the Festival is scheduled for June 14 through June 22 and features some of the world’s premier flamenco dancers.

Mariachi Spectacular

Scheduled for July 10 through July 13, Mariachi Spectacular features lectures, interviews with Mariachi legends, music classes, and a musical feast of performances by Mariachi ensembles. Mariachi Spectacular stands out as one of the premier events of the genre.

As New Mexico’s annual celebration of music and culture, ¡Globalquerque! packs music, artisan goods, delicious food, and live music into two fun-filled days. For 2019, ¡Globalquerque! is scheduled for September 20 and September 21.

Balloon Fiesta

The Albuquerque International Balloon Festival is the largest event of its kind in the world. The festival attracts more than one million visitors to Albuquerque annually. Hundreds of hot air balloons fill the skies above, and the spectacle is the most photographed event anywhere. For 2019, the Fiesta is scheduled for October 5 through October 13.
