MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT ALBUQUERQUE
Albuquerque is special to me in so many ways and I want to share my favorite experiences with you. Starting with the wonderful weather, I appreciate a great trail ride along the Bosque and making a stop at Bike and Coffee on Old town farm. Continuing on the north trail to pick up my fresh organic produce at Los Poblanos organic farm. ‘One could spend a lifetime at Los Poblanos and never fall out of love,’ says SuCasa magazine. A quick trip to cool off at the Albuquerque Bio Park and Zoo is always time well spent, and then a trip down historic Route 66 where local merchants await your visit with amazing Southwestern hospitality. Since golfing and over 310 days of sunshine are part of the scene here, I get to choose from the most challenging courses like Canyon Club, Arroyo del Oso or Puerto del Sol on my way to the airport.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is my favorite of all events. It happens in early October when the skies are filled with over 550 hot air balloons and a backdrop of amazing fall colors. Since our sunsets are some of the most beautiful in the entire U.S., I love to hike the Pino trail, Bear Canyon or La Luz trail, and then cap the adventure with a nice cold beer at the summit, and an 18-minute Tram ride down the longest Tram in North America. We Love our beer. The best thing about Albuquerque is the distinct culture and the people who make this place so special. You may remember the great places you’ve seen, but you’ll never forget the experience of Albuquerque.
