As the only animal welfare approved restaurant in the entire country, El Pinto uses 100% pasture-raised eggs for all of its tasty recipes. They accomplish this admirable feat by maintaining a hen hotel for 200 laying hens on its property in Albuquerque’s’ North Valley.

A Local Favorite
A local favorite since Jack and Connie Thomas opened their doors in 1962, El Pinto restaurant has grown under its present owners – brothers Jim and John, who took over from their parents. The restaurant now seats more than 1,200 guests and features patios and a beautiful indoor garden. Besides serving delicious food, El Pinto is also available for festive weddings.
